The highest slackline walk was achieved by Christian Schou (Norway) who walked 12 m (39 ft) on a 2.5-cm (1-in) wide line, 1,000 m (3,280 ft) above the ground at Kjerag Lysefjorden, Norway, on 3 August 2006. A year later on 7 October 2007, fellow Norwegian Aleksandar Mork equalled this record precisely.
