The largest film stunt explosion is 170.7 tonnes (TNT Equivalent) and was achieved by Sela Studio (KSA) during filming of 7 Dogs film in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 29 August 2025.

The record-breaking explosion was designed and executed by Duncan Capp MIExpE and his
team at IFX International Special Effects LLC, who orchestrated a single-take detonation of
unprecedented scale.
The stunt incorporated 325 kilograms of Nitram Emulsion explosive,
more than 3998.5 meters of PETN-based detonation cord, 159 instantaneous electric blasting
caps, and over 21200.60 liters of petrol housed in Twenty specially engineered IBC containers.
To simulate earth eruptions and debris, 20 tonnes of bentonite were deployed, while
custom-designed tractor-trailer units and box trucks were obliterated in the blast.
