How long does it take?

The length of time for the application process and then the evidence review for the attempt itself depends on the type of application you have selected. Here you can find information on the different application options and the timeframes for the application process and the evidence review.

Application process

The first stage of the process requires us to review your proposal against our large database of records. You will then either be informed if you have been accepted under your chosen title, given a suggested similar alternative record title, or rejected. If you are accepted then you will be sent a set of record guidelines and an information pack detailing the rules for the record and the evidence we require in order to verify your attempt. The timeframe for this stage depends on the type of application you opt for.

Please note: if you are applying on behalf of an organisation or brand, you will need to our Consultancy Services route.  This option offers fast-tracked application and evidence review as well as a range of products and services to maximise the impact of your record attempt such as inviting an official adjudicator to your event.  To find out more visit our Business Solutions pages.
