The longest videogame marathon playing a puzzle game is 32 hr 32 min 32 sec and was achieved by Szabolcs "GrassHopper" Csépe (Hungary), in Kecskemét, Hungary, on 11 December 2021.

Szabolcs played Tetris Effect for the attempt and said the main challenge was keeping awake at night time. He said he overcame this by setting the game to a higher difficulty with more speed to keep his brain occupied.

At the the 28 hour mark, Szabolcs managed to break some of his own Personal Best scores, which was a highlight for him.

During the attempt, Szabolcs says he ate compressed foods that were high in nutrients, once every hour. He opted for spicy food at night time to keep him awake!

He made his attempt on a weekend and made sure, at the end of the attempt, to get a well-deserved good night's sleep before work on Monday morning.
