The first suit made from moustache hair was created by Pam Kleemann-Passi, Bullfrog and POLITIX (all Australia), in November 2021.
The suit was created as part of the POLITIX Movember ‘Worn to be Heard’ campaign. Movember is an annual event encouraging the growing of moustaches to raise awareness of men's health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer, and male suicide.
The moustache hair used for the suit was sourced from Sustainable Salons in Australia, as well as collaborators whose lives have been impacted by men’s health issues.
