The fastest circumnavigation swim around Lord Howe Island by a female swimmer was achieved by Lauren Tischendorf (Australia) in 13 hours 50 minutes 58 seconds on 21 April 2021. The swim was ratified by the Marathon Swimmers Federation.
Tischendorf was also the first solo female to swim around Lord Howe Island, an Australian island in the Tasman Sea, about 590 km (320 mi) off Port Macquarie, New South Wales. In total, her swim covered a distance of about 35 km (21.7 mi)
The fastest circumnavigation swim around Lord Howe Island by a male swimmer was achieved by Lynton Mortensen (Australia) in 12 hours 29 minutes on 14 February 2021. Mortensen was also the first-ever person to swim around Lord Howe Island.
