The fastest time to move 100 litres of water using furoshiki (team of 100) is 5 minutes 57.43 seconds and was achieved by Team Nagare 100 and Asakura Senpu Co., Ltd. (both Japan) at Kiryu Municipal Commercial High School, in Kiryu, Gunma, Japan, on 4 December 2021.


Team Nagare 100, comprised of Kiryu Municipal Commecial High School students, children and adults from Kiryu and beyond, and Asakura Senpu staff, used over 20 furoshiki tied in the shape of buckets to move the 100 litres of water over 100 metres in a relay fashion. Asakura Senpu Co., Ltd. provided its own water-repellent Nagare furoshiki for the attempt.
