The highest altitude road half marathon is 4,693 m and was organised by Winter Sports Federation Pakistan, Pakistan Air Force, Serena Hotels and Z Adventures (all Pakistan) in Khunjerab Pass, Pakistan, on 21 September 2019.


This event was organised as a way to promote Pakistan as the next big sports tourism destination. The marathon attracted athletes from all over the world and will continue as an annual event.
