Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) is the core welfare organization for the families of the Indian Air Force. Its members, known as 'Sanginis', came together in an initiative called 'Knittathon'. The philanthropic initiative aimed to knit over 41,000 hats and distribute them to the less privileged. Over 3,000 Sanginis from across India took part in this cause which took 3 months and 4 tonnes of wool to execute.
