The longest duration spinning a plate on the finger is 4 hr 4 min 44 sec, and was achieved by Mansingh Oli Prabhas (Nepal) in Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal, on 20 September 2021.
Mansingh specialises in spinning records and has previously achieved a number of similar titles including the longest time spinning a Guinness World Records book on one finger and the most spins of a Guinness World Records book on the finger in one minute.
He has been spinning objects since he was a child which is why he wanted to attempt this record. He practiced for this attempt for almost two years and to help with this, he keeps up a healthy lifestyle by taking part in morning runs, finger push-ups and eating healthy.
Mansingh used meditation to be able to push through this physically and mentally challenging record attempt. The biggest difficulty that he endured was during practice for the book spinning attempt when his finger became fractured so he had to wait until fully recovered from his treatment before he could start practicing again. This took about three months but Mansingh believes it was all worth it to officially be a Guinness World Records title holder.
