Coincidentally, Mexico also holds the record for the largest Thriller dance, when the Instituto de la Juventud del Gobierno del Distrito Federal organized 13,597 participants paying tribute to the unforgettable choreography in Jackson’s “Thriller” video at Mexico City’s Monumento a la Revolución on 29 August 2009 – just 65 days after the singer’s death.
