The first World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship took place in Valladolid, Spain, on 28–29 September 2019. Team Siberia (Russia) set the fastest time to complete a 5,000-piece jigsaw by a team, with a time of 4 hours 11 minutes 17 seconds. The competition is invigilated by the World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation.


The challenge consists of completing four jigsaws that comprise 5,000 pieces overall.
