The first retractable lightsaber was created by Alex Burkan (Russia), in Kazan, Russia, on 12 June 2020.
The lightsaber produces a plasma blade measuring over 1 m (3.28 ft) in length which can cut through metal. This lightsaber is a replica of the same device commonly associated with the film series Star Wars.
