Heaviest butternut squash

Grown by Kevin Rataj (Germany), the heaviest butternut squash (Cucurbita moschata "Butternut") weighed 62.2 kg (137 lb 2 oz) when measured at the Klaistow GPC Weigh-Off in Klaistow, Brandenburg, Germany, on 29 September 2024.

Rataj grew the record-breaking squash from a 66.6 Norbert Andres 2023 seed. The fruit was 67 days old when harvested.

This surpassed the 131.4-pound (59.6-kg) butternut squash, grown by Jason Loris (USA), confirmed at the State Fair of Virginia in Doswell, Virginia, USA, on 23 September 2023.
