The fastest woman to scale Everest from the south (Nepal) side is Ada Tsang Yin-hung of Hong Kong, China, who left base camp at 1.20 p.m. on 22 May 2021 and completed her ascent the following day after a climb of 25 hours 50 minutes.
Tsang, a former teacher who was making her third climb of the world's highest mountain, broke the record held by Nepalese climber Phunjo Jhangmu Lama, who summitted in 39 hours 6 minutes back in 2018.
