The first skateboard '1080' on a vertical ramp was achieved by Gui Khury (Brazil, b. 18 December 2008) in Curitiba, Brazil, on 8 May 2020.


Gui is just 11 years old!

During the Covid-19 lockdown, he was able to dedicate all of his time towards mastering the trick on a ramp constructed in his grandmother's garden.

All other successful '1080's landed by skaters have been achieved on specialist structures which allow riders to build up extra speed before becoming airborne.
