On 20 March 2019, Epic Games confirmed that Fortnite Battle Royale had 250 million registered players. Epic rarely discusses the game’s player stats, but competition for its battle-royale dominance had been coming from the likes of Apex Legends. So it was a good time to release information that showed that the game was continuing to reach millions of new players. It was only on 27 November 2018 that Epic had announced that Fortnite Battle Royale had reached the 200-million mark. That itself was a 60% leap from the 125 million confirmed in June 2018.
