Kristin Harila (Norway) crossed from the top of Everest (8,848 m; 29,029 ft), the tallest mountain in the world, to the top of Lhotse (8,516 m; 27,940 ft), the fourth tallest mountain, in 9 hours 5 minutes on 22 May 2022. She beat her own record set the previous year, when she became the first woman to stand atop the two peaks within 12 hours.


Harila is on a mission to become the fastest person to climb all 14 peaks over 8,000 m (26,250 ft), having already conquered 12 mountains in a record 147 days.
