Nicknamed "Edan" Mohd is an elite marathon runner from Malaysia. In order to achieve this record, Edan's arms had to be encapsulated within the flag costume for the entirety of the race. He wore his national flag in honour of Malaysia Independence Day which took place on the same day as the race.
