The largest gathering of organ transplant donors is 410, and was achieved by members of The Transplant Village (USA), at the Cloud Gate, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, on 21 April 2018.
The Transplant Village is a tight knit community made up of several living organ donors that support other donors. They chose to do an event in April because it was Donate Life Month and by gathering together, their hope was to raise awareness about the importance of living donation, and to inspire others to become living donors. They had donors coming from all over the United States plus some from India and Canada.
