The most consecutive days to run an ultra marathon distance (female) is 200, and was achieved by Candice Burt (USA), in Boulder, Colorado, USA, from 5 November 2022 to 23 May 2023.


Candice took on this challenge to learn about herself and what she is capable of, as well as to show that women have a gift for endurance. "Records inspire me to find within myself the courage and discipline to advance humanity", she told GWR.

She only decided to take on the record two weeks before her start date and consulted other record-holders on how best to prepare for the attempt. She already had 13 years of ultramarathon experience so was in a strong position to challenge for the record. Her initial goal was to complete 100 consecutive ultra-distance runs but was able to double that before deciding to finish.
