It’s a battle of the A-listers on TikTok after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson knocked fellow actor Will Smith off the top spot.

The Rock now officially has the most followers on TikTok for an actor after securing 74.4 million of them.

He’ll have to work hard to hold on to the title though, as the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star isn’t too far behind him.

Will had held the record since 2022, with his followers steadily increasing.

They now stand at 74 million-strong, so it wouldn’t take much for him to catch up to the Moana star.

The Rock, who recently revived his wrestling career with a return to WWE, regularly takes his fans behind the scenes of his fame on his TikTok channel.

As well as documenting his WWE return of late, he also posts videos of himself working out in the gym, surprising shoppers by hand-delivering his Papatui skincare products, and his work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Will, who describes himself as the “Same kid from West Philly”, also shares a glimpse into his fun showbiz life.

Lately, he’s been posting videos of himself and Bad Boys co-star Martin Lawrence as they return for a fourth instalment in the franchise, Ride or Die.

He also recently posted a clip of himself on stage at Coachella as he joined J Balvin for a performance of his movie soundtrack hit Men In Black.

He regularly shares meme-worthy clips from his life too.

This isn’t the first record-breaking battle The Rock has kick-started.

Back in 2015, he was the first person to break the record for most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes with a total of 105.

The title has been taken by a number of celebrities over the years, including New Kids on the Block’s Donnie Wahlberg and legendary footballer Alan Shearer.

That record is now held by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar with a total of 184.

The Rock also previously held the record for largest layered dip with a serving that weighed 244.94 kg (540 lb).

That one was broken a few years later by BUSH'S® Beans (USA) with a dip weighing 493 kg (1,087 lb).
