We kicked off the week in Baltimore, Maryland (USA) with daring record holder Dai Andrews who holds the record for Largest curve in a swallowed sword - having swallowed a blade at an angle measuring an eye-opening 120 degrees point to hilt. Host Claire Stephens interviewed Dai on his inspiration for performing, which started when he got his very first magic kit at the age of five. Straitjackets led to fire breathing, which ultimately piloted Dai’s incredible ability to perform such dangerous and record-breaking stunts with swords. With a stunning view of the Baltimore harbour in the background, and a roaring crowd viewing Dai’s extreme manoeuvres with weaponry, you don’t want to miss this thrilling broadcast.

Our team scooted over to our headquarters in London to watch the fantastic “Sizzling Steve” who is a star on the CBBC show Officially Amazing. Steve has held Guinness World Records titles in several categories including Fastest coin stack. Because of his experience and knowledge with record breaking, Steve offers a neat demonstrations of how to tackle records using objects you can find around your house. In addition Steve attempts a fun record in front of a live audience, for Fastest time to build a 20 can pyramid. With an official adjudicator there to witness and verify the attempt, find out if Steve adds another title to his many!

Later in the day we featured super speed LEGO stacker Ed Diment, who holds the record for Most LEGO brick castles built in one minute – an impressive title given the many components of the castle. You might remember Ed from our broadcast a few weeks ago, which offered a sneak peek into Bright Bricks the team behind a number of record-breaking LEGO sculptures. Now back in our headquarters, the brick master shows his particular methods of stacking LEGO fluidly with host PeeWee, even trying his hand at a record he once held. If you love creativity and building from the ground up, check out the video below.

The following day, we took a closer look into one of Ed’s outstanding LEGO creations: a caravan made from 215,158 bricks which also has running water and electricity. Appropriately given the title, Largest LEGO Caravan, it made its debut at the Camping Caravan and Motorhome Show in Birmingham, UK. With several viewers online and around the live broadcast, we took a tour of the life-size construction which was fashioned as a unique PR component to advertise the annual show. The inside of the incredible van is not only able to support the weight of more than one person standing inside, it is so authentic, it even has camping appliances and food made of LEGO bricks to keep the theme. To take a peek inside, watch our broadcast in the player below.

On Wednesday, host PeeWee joined some very adorable furry friends for a live broadcast with their owner Dima Yeremenko, who’s also known as the London “dog whisperer”. Even though Dima’s ability to train pets was noteworthy, undoubtedly, the star of this particular Facebook Live segment was record holder George, a rescue pup who holds the Guinness World Records title for Most treats balanced on a dogs nose. The sweet 14-year-old pup is capable of balancing 29 treats on top his nose, but this time he attempts to better his record which has remained the standard since 2015. A great broadcast that features our friends from the animal kingdom, this is certainly a video you don’t want to miss!

Continuing in England, PeeWee then went to the home of the one and only sideshow artist Daniella D’Ville, who holds multiple record titles for her audacious stunts with swords, daggers, and chainsaws alike. Opening the broadcast by hammering a nail through her nose, viewers can count on this broadcast to be anything but boring. The Victorian sideshow performer currently holds records for Most apples held in the mouth and cut in half by chainsaw in one minute, Fastest time to break 16 concrete blocks on the body (female), and Most rotations of a sword balanced on a dagger in one minute – but in this entertaining video, tries to break her balancing dagger record in front of audience members. With a minimum of nine revolutions to beat- find out if the show-woman can out do her fantastic title. Hint: you may even see a yellow python during the video!

We then headed back to the U.S. and the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana for our next show. There our host ventured on to the American Queen, a beautiful steamboat which holds the record for the record for the Largest steamboat. Measuring 418 feet long, and propelled by a 99,200 lb wheel, it’s no wonder this boat has been the record holder since 1995! In an interview with Cruise Director Alex, we discover interesting elements of the steam boat, ranging from the mechanics of the American Queen to the luxurious 7-day cruise that it offers guests along the entirety of the Mississippi River.

We ended the week on a spookier note, visiting the French Quarter of New Orleans where host Claire caught up with the creator of the world’s Largest voodoo doll – Priestess Catherina Williams. Catherina explained how she came to create the incredible 21 foot doll to promote prosperity for a company.
