Brazilian teenager Marcel Fernandes Filho has shattered his own world record for the fastest time to type a text message (SMS) on a touch-screen mobile phone.

The 17-year-old had originally taken the title back in May after typing the standard Guinness World Records texting passage on a Samsung Galaxy S4 in a blistering 18.19 seconds.

Once again using software company Syntellia’s Fleksy keyboard, only this time using an iPhone 6 Plus, Marcel managed to shave off over a second from his original benchmark time, finishing the message in an incredible 17.00 seconds

To set the record, Marcel needed to correctly type the following passage:

The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.
