The Brief

Generation Wild (USA), an organization that reconnects kids with nature by increasing the amount of time they spend outside, wanted to create a unique experience that helped them amplify their mission.

The organization wanted to go as big as possible with an outdoor activation that was unforgettable, entertaining and engaging.

The Solution

Inspired by the popular hopscotch, a game traditionally played outdoors, Generation Wild decided to attempt the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for longest hopscotch game.

The result was more than impressive: a 7,037.51 m (23,088 ft 11.3 in) hopscotch course set at Chatfield State Park in Littleton, Colorado, USA.

Generation Wild invited an official adjudicator who confirmed the successful attempt in front of a cheering crowd.

The event was an unparalleled opportunity for Generation Wild to show the benefits of playing outdoors, and to foster community ties.

Generation Wild was developed to help kids and their families spend more time outside in unstructured play, and what easier, more nostalgic way to do that than hopscotch?
