"When I broke the first record of most toothpicks in a beard, I wanted to try to see how many of things I could cram in there. I practiced for several days to try to get the most pencils in a minute as I could whilst following all the guidelines. The pokes could get painful sometimes. When you go for speed the aim gets off a little sometimes and results in some pokeyness."
