HONOR shows the durability of its new HONOR Magic7 Lite by putting it through the elements - literally.

Teaming up with Campus Univers Cascades (CUC), a leading European stunt school, and stuntman and CUC Deputy Director, Renaud Favero (France), HONOR looked to break the record for the most consecutive flaming doors run through the body on fire (with 6 doors).

HONOR is the leading global provider of smart devices across smartphones, tablets and laptops.

The technology brand has been involved in several record-breaking feats, including the tallest house of cards built in 8 hours and the most people performing a mobile phone drop test simultaneously.

To test its resilience, HONOR has subjected the device to various extreme conditions, including exposure to icy temperatures in Finland, impact from ATVs (all-terrain vehicle) in Slovenia, and a fall from a cliff in Italy.

So, how about fire?

The stunt took place at Le Cateau-Cambrésis, France, on 19 February.

On set were six flaming black doors which presented a burning challenge and with five seconds to clear each one, Renuad’s precision, speed and endurance were pushed to the limit.

The doors were painted black to enhance the visibility of the flames.

The record-breaking challenge followed weeks of specialized stunt training at the school.

Originally, only the doors were supposed to be engulfed in flames but with successful test runs, Renuad bravely proposed attempting the record with his body on fire.

A Guinness World Records representative was on hand to edit the current guidelines to reflect the new title.

Following this, Renuad’s arms and legs were set alight.

Strapped to his arm, the HONOR Magic7 Lite captured it all.

Surrounded by flames, the phone remained intact, making it an ultra-tough companion to the stunt record.

During the first official attempt, Renuad had issues with breaking through the second door and the flames on his body and the doors were quickly extinguished.

On his second go, Renuad's resilience showed up in a successful attempt and he broke through all six doors in just 6.9 seconds.

Official Adjudicator, Anouk De Timary presented the certificate amongst the backdrop of roaring cheers from stunt school students.

Executing high-risk stunts demands resilient gear, and the HONOR Magic7 Lite proved exceptionally tough, withstanding intense heat, flames, and impact while capturing the action on video. This partnership with HONOR pushed the boundaries of what's possible, demonstrating that the Magic7 Lite is not only built for extreme conditions but also the tumbles and trials of everyday life – perfect for anyone who pushes their limits. - Renaud Favero, Deputy Director from Campus Univers Cascades
