HONOR Philippines sets new world record by putting latest smartphone to ultimate test

Mobile phone company HONOR put its latest mobile phone to the test by getting people to drop it!
That's risky if you aren't confident it won't break.
But HONOR Philippines had no concerns over its latest phone HONOR X9c 5G. They simultaneously drop tested 264 phones to break a Guinness World Records title for the most people performing a mobile phone drop test simultaneously.
HONOR Philippines is a leading global provider of smart devices, and the spectacular phone drop test event was organized as their latest product is one of their toughest phones so far.
The event involved preregistered participants - including several influencers - who were to take on the drop test attempt.
In order for the attempt to be successful, participants had to drop the phone from shoulder height, with the screen facing down. And of course, if a phone broke it would be taken out of the final count.
And the result? All 264 phones survived the drop test!
In fact, several rehearsals took place prior to the official attempt using the same phone - meaning these phones survived more than a few drops!
While it is not advisable to drop your phone on purpose, the attempt surely made a point about the toughness of the brand's latest device.
A win for HONOR is a win for the Filipinos. Prior to its launch, the toughest phone has already set a Guinness World Records title and this is a feat for everyone who supported us since day one. But we still have big news to share with everyone so stay tuned on 10 January - Stephen Cheng, HONOR Philippines Vice President
According to HONOR, the new HONOR X9c 5G has an SGS 5-Star rating for Drop Resistance, and can withstand up to two-metre drops. It also has a water resistance feature with an IP65M rating.
Furthermore, the HONOR X9c 5G has heat resistance that withstands temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C.
To experience all these tough features, participants continued to carry out various experiments after the official attempt, including cooking, dropping them from a height, and throwing them to collapse towers of stacked cans.
