Incredible records broken by brands in 2024: From car stunts to food feasts
It's that time of year again! 2024 was an exciting year at Guinness World Records. We saw brands and individuals from all over the world shatter the most amazing records.
From car stunts to food feasts, let's take a look at the brands that made it into our round-up this year.
Largest serving of stir-fried noodles

The World Chefs Championship (Malaysia), with over 1,400 chefs from around the world, began on 16 May with a Guinness World Records attempt. This year, chefs aimed to set a record for the largest serving of Mee Goreng Johor Style, a national dish.
After cooking, the stir-fried noodles were weighed, with 35 portions recorded. The food was distributed to the audience, with leftovers donated to local orphanages and retirement homes.
Largest anime store/shop

animate's flagship store (Japan), "animate Ikebukuro Main Store," originally opened in 1983 and relocated in 2012, with a grand reopening on 16 March 2023.
To mark the first anniversary of this reopening, Animate achieved the record title for the largest anime shop/store.
Largest whistling archery championship

Linzhi, nestled in the scenic Xizang Autonomous Region of (China), recently hosted a world record-breaking event that turned heads - the largest whistling archery championship.
Whistling archery, known as Xiang Jian or Bixiu in Tibetan, which means "sharp cry", has a history stretching back over 1,500 years.
Most nationalities on a water slide in one minute

The employees of Atlantis (Dubai) made record-breaking history and a splash at the Aquaventure World, Atlantis The Palm.
A total of 90 nationalities came together to race down the water slide.
Longest marathon playing softball

The organization, MOST (Men Opposing Sex Trafficking) (USA), played for an astounding 5 days and 59 minutes - just one minute short of 121 hours - of continuous gameplay.
The event aimed not only to smash a world record but also to shed light on the critical issue of sex trafficking.
Highest car bungee jump

Nissan (France) knows that their Qashai is special and used a world record title to prove it. The red car plummeted a dizzying 65 m (213 ft 3 in ft) in the highest car bungee jump.
Earning worldwide media attention and winning the manufacturer a print award.
Largest aerial image formed by multirotors/drones

A breathtaking show organized by Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture (Korea) with drones provided by Shenzhen Damoda Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd (China) broke the record for the largest aerial image formed by multirotors/drones.
The stunning display of 7,598 drones lit up the night sky to create vivid images.
