Muhamed "Hammer Hands" Kahrimanovic explains why he just can't stop smashing records

At Guinness World Records, we love celebrating people for the amazing titles they achieve, and some individuals really do crush the records they attempt!

This applies perfectly to Muhamed Kahrimanovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), whose unique talent is crushing items with his hands - he’s even known as “Hammer Hands”.

Among his many titles, Muhamed set the record for most walnuts crushed by the hand while holding an egg in one minute with 338 on 6 August.

Holding an egg while smashing hundreds of walnuts may sound like a recipe for disaster, but for Muhamed it’s a challenge that requires both strength and precision.

He told us: “It fosters a perfect interplay between body and mind - racing against the 60-second clock to hit 338 walnuts while maintaining control over the striking motion with the egg in hand.”

With more than 20 Guinness World Records titles to his name, how did this challenge compare with his other feats? 

Muhamed explained: “It was very difficult to achieve a constant speed of nearly six strikes per second.” 

At the end of the attempt, the audience ate the leftover walnuts, and Muhamed’s wife Emine baked a cake, so no nuts were wasted.

On 17 August, he smashed the title for most walnuts crushed between the hands in one minute with 61. So, how has he become so good at such a specific skill?

Muhamed said: “Striving to constantly improve my performance is something I have been practising for 45 years.”

An incredible feat of his is the title for most coconuts smashed with one hand in one minute, with 125, which he set in Hamburg, Germany, on 20 September 2025.

Muhamed broke the alternating hands title for the first time on the set of Lo Show dei Record in 2022 with a total of 148, and back in 2023 he appeared on America’s Got Talent to increase his total but unfortunately couldn’t impress Simon Cowell.

He appeared on America’s Got Talent again on 18 March and achieved the most baseball bats broken with hands in 30 seconds with 31.

With hands of steel, it’s surprising that Muhamed has never been badly injured during his record attempts, apart from minor cuts from coconuts and walnuts.

Muhamed’s most recent feat came on 10 September, when he smashed the title for fastest time to smash 50 coconuts with the hand, completing the challenge in 18.66 seconds.

Walnuts and coconuts are far from the only things that Muhamed has put his hands to. Some of his other records include:

• Most drink cans crushed by hand while holding an egg in one minute (blindfolded) – 68
• Most pine boards broken with the hand while throwing and catching an egg in one minute – 37
• Most walnuts crushed between the hands in one minute - 61

He has no plans to slow down, and his next challenge could involve steel swords. He can currently break two with his bare hands but is working towards a record attempt.

For Hammer Hands, age is clearly no barrier to breaking new records. Muhamed said: “I want to show the younger generation that even at almost 68 years old, it is possible to be faster than everyone else.”
