Can your pets do amazing tricks or do they have any fun skills? These two dogs are serial record breakers and have a range of amazing talents. Bonnie and Simba are trained by their owner, Olga Jones (UK) and have earned multiple Guinness World Records titles over the years.

We caught up with Olga and her pooch pals to learn more about them.

The trio live in Reading, UK, where most of their record attempts and training take place. Olga said of her pets: “Simba is two and a half; he is fun and playful. If I could describe him in three words, I would say he is fast, fast, and fast!”

Olga explained that Simba is an incredibly special animal and comes from a family of dogs that have represented Team Great Britain in dog dancing and other categories.

“Bonnie is five years old, and she is skilled, fun, and a bit of a princess. When I first got Bonnie, I felt that she was a very special pup, and I knew that we could work together.” By the time Bonnie had reached 10 weeks old, she had already learned 15 different tricks.

Olga and her pooches previously held the title for fastest time to complete 10 side leapfrog jumps by two dogs, which they set in 16.78 seconds. Olga told us: “The leapfrog jumps record was one that I had experimented with various tricks beforehand, but this one was quite a cool one. It’s easier to do when you have two similar dogs, but Bonnie and Simba are so different.

“One of them does super high jumps, and the other does sideways jumps, but it’s hard for them to not get in each other’s way. The main challenge was to control their movements without crashing into each other.”

This record is now held by Jennifer Fraser (Canada) and her two dogs, Kiwi and Chardonnay, who achieved it in 8.22 seconds on 9 April 2025.

Olga discussed that she has been interested in Guinness World Records for years and that both Simba and Bonnie know at least 300 tricks, but the reason she loves GWR is that she can choose to attempt titles that truly show the talent of her dogs.

“I love that everyone has a talent and can develop it to a very high standard. I was very excited to make it into the book, and it’s so special. The dogs feel like superstars after every training session.”

They have many active titles to their name, including the most ribbon bows undone by a dog in one minute, which Simba set with a total of 11, on 31 August 2025. Simba also broke the record for the most connect four discs placed into the board by a dog in one minute with 16.

Another Guinness World Records title that Simba has gained is truly priceless! On 19 September 2023, he broke the record for the most coins deposited into a bottle by a dog in one minute, with a total of 13. Olga said: “This was a record that I had never seen anyone do before, and the most challenging thing about the coins is that they become really slippery.

“We had to find the perfect floor surface for him so that the coins wouldn’t slide. At the beginning we started teaching the skill with a big box and tennis balls, then started to get smaller.”

Some records that Simba holds, he has actually broken more than once! He secured the title for the most bottles deposited into a recycling bin by a dog in one minute on 23 November 2025. Simba managed to put 26 bottles in a bin — 10 more than his previous record!

So, how did Simba learn to clean up? Olga said: “We were out for a walk one morning, and Simba picked up a bottle and put it in the bin, and I said, ‘Oh yes, that’s a good boy!’ Many people will see dogs doing this and will then pick up rubbish themselves, so they can do something great for the environment.”

The biggest difficulty for this attempt was to locate the most suitable bin to be used, as since the dog needs to put its paws on the bin, it must be stable enough to hold its weight.

There are many other current titles that the trio holds, one of them being the most clothes hung on a washing line by a dog in one minute. For this record, it was Simba and Olga who teamed up to hang up 17 items of clothing during the minute on 18 November 2023.

Olga explained: “The socks one was actually built on frustration, as I have two teenage boys and I have always tried to encourage them to hang up their clothes. So, I thought that if I can teach a dog to hang socks, then maybe my kids will try to do it better.”

When the pair first began training for this record, Simba could only hang up four socks on the line, but with training, he began to do more and even began enjoying it. It only took Simba around a week to properly learn the skill, but Olga’s children still don’t know how to hang their clothes up. Olga joked: “I think it’s easier to train dogs than kids, to be honest!”

In the spirit of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the dogs also took to the football pitch. Simba scored big with the most football (soccer) goals scored by a dog in one minute, with a total of 12 goals. Bonnie also got in on the action, achieving the most football (soccer) goals scored by a dog in 30 seconds with a total of five. Both records were achieved on 22 June.
