There’s just no stopping the record-breaking Rush family.

When David Rush’s daughter Felicity nabbed a world record at the tender age of three, she became the final person in her family to be declared Officially Amazing!

Now, David (USA), his wife Jennifer, their sons Jeremy and Peter, and little Felicity have all claimed Guinness World Records titles.

It’s no wonder really, with David’s “never give up” attitude.

Over the years, he’s claimed hundreds of records, so many that he’s become known as David “Record Breaker” Rush.

Of course, he hasn’t broken every record on his first try every time, but he’s persevered and worked hard to achieve his goals.

“I wanted to show people that you can get better at literally anything,” he said. “I have broken over 400 Guinness World Records titles at this point, but I have literally thousands of failed attempts.”

At the time of writing, David has over 200 current titles, Jennifer has four, Jeremy has five, Peter has four and Felicity has one.

In a sweet family moment, David handed his family their framed certificates at their home in Boise, Idaho, and they proudly posed for a picture together to celebrate their amazing achievements.

Sitting his family down on the sofa, David tells them he has a surprise.

After pulling out a Guinness World Records certificate, he hands one to each of them in order of who he claimed a title with – Jennifer, Jeremy, Peter, and then a very excited Felicity, who kicks her legs in celebration.

It was a sweet surprise for Jennifer, who had been kept in the dark about her little girl’s attempt at the most times to throw and go through a backspinning hula hoop in 30 seconds (team of two) with her dad.

David, who regularly posts about his record attempts on YouTube and Instagram, has always taught his kids that they can achieve big things if they’re willing to put in the work.

And it seems they’ve certainly followed in his footsteps.

David gushed about his wife: “She is the most supportive person in the world, I couldn’t do it without her.”

He explained how she first got involved when he found some ‘team of two’ records he wanted to tackle, starting with the most T-shirts put on in 30 seconds (team of two) – a total of 19.

Then came the kids.

“It has always been about having fun with the kids,” David said. “And they want to be like Dad, so they’d set up a timer, hit the stopwatch and throw rocks as fast as they can, play keepy uppy, move chess pieces with their mouths, they bounce on pogo sticks or throw chopsticks at a target.

“They’ve tried so many records in practice because that’s what Dad is doing – ‘if Dad is flipping cups, I want to try to flip cups too’.

“And then it became a little bit more. Sure, we’re practising to have fun as a family, but are we actually going to be able to break a record?”

David began pondering what records he could actually claim with his kids, and to start, he and Jeremy took on the fastest time to make a sandwich by a team of two (blindfolded/no hands), smashing it in 36.50 seconds.

With Peter, he took on the fastest time to clear a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos (team of two), claiming the title in a blistering speed of 5.80 sec, later bettering it with 5.36 sec.

After Felicity claimed hers, David said: “And now all five of us hold current Guinness World Records titles and it couldn’t make this dad prouder.”

Just what will this amazing family do next?
