Taylor Swift kicked off the 2024 awards season in style by breaking even more records at the Grammys – to absolutely nobody’s surprise.

The singer has more Guinness World Records titles to her name than any other, including being the only living artist to achieve the most simultaneous albums on the US Billboard 200

The 34-year-old, who last night announced her new album The Tortured Poets Department, has been smashing records consistently throughout her career, and things were no different at last night’s Grammy Awards.

Taylor picked up her fourth Album of the Year gong for Midnights, extending her record for most Album of the Year awards won at the Grammys (female) from three to four.

She previously won for Fearless in 2010, 1989 in 2016 and folklore in 2021.

The win also means she claims the most Album of the Year awards won at the Grammys by a vocalist for herself.

She had previously shared it with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon, when they all had three wins to their names.

Midnights also made a Guinness World Records holder of audio engineer and mixer Șerban Ghenea. This was his fifth Album of the Year, earning him the record for most Album of the Year awards won at the Grammys.

Taylor also holds the record for most Grammy nominations for Song of the Year.

Her single "Anti-Hero" was her seventh to be nominated for the prize, but sadly she's never had any luck in that category - one of the Grammy's "big four".

It was Billie Eilish who won that gong with “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie movie, earning a record at the same time.

She and her brother and songwriting partner Finneas O’Connell have now won this award twice, making them joint holders of the most Song of the Year Grammys won record with all four individual members of U2 (2001 and 2006), Adele (2012 and 2017), Bruno Mars (2018 and 2022) and the only back-to-back winner, D’Mile (2021-22).

The sibling duo previously won this award in 2020 for “Bad Guy”.

At the age of 34 years 279 days, Victoria Monét became the oldest female Best New Artist Grammy winner.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus won Record of the Year for her single “Flowers”, which was the most streamed track on Spotify in 2023.
