Bad Bunny is ending 2023 on a high after landing the most streamed album on Spotify record for the year.

The Puerto Rican rapper racked up an impressive 4.5 billion streams with his album Un Verano Sin Ti, which translates in English to A Summer Without You.

The 23-track album, which won a Grammy this year too, was also amongst the most-played albums in 2022, the year it was released.

By 8 December, five of the tracks – “Me Porto Benito” (feat. Chencho Corleone), “Tití Me Preguntó”, “Callaita” (feat. Tainy), “Ojitos Lindos” (feat. Bomba Estéreo) and “Efecto” – had all each surpassed 1 billion streams.

Un Verano Sin Ti is also the most streamed album on Spotify of all time with an incredible 15.177 billion streams as of 19 December.

This isn’t even the first time Bad Bunny – real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – has broken this annual record.

His album YHLQMDLG was the most streamed album on Spotify in 2020 with 3.3 billion streams.

And as the numbers suggest, his popularity is only growing as the years go by.

The 29-year-old was the first non-English language act to become the most streamed act on Spotify, a record he earned for the first time in 2020 and again in 2022.

He’s earned many other Guinness World Records titles throughout his career:
