The ABC show's "Record Breaker Week" from Monday 10 September-Friday 14 September saw attempts each day; guests with special talents were invited to perform where they received on-site verification from adjudicator Michael Empric in front of a live studio audience.
From aerial basketball slam dunks to slicing apples with juggling swords, the week was nothing short of entertaining.
However, to end on a high note, hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest closed out the week of record setting with a special surprise for Executive Producer, Michael Gelman.
Gelman, who became the youngest producer of a nationally syndicated talk show with Live’s debut in 1988 and has been at the helm ever since, becoming a vital part of the show’s success over the years.
On Friday, it was revealed that Gelman himself has earned a Guinness World Records title for Most morning talk show episodes produced for a single talk show with an astounding 7,534 as of 12 September 2018.
Though Gelman was uncharacteristically caught unawares by the presentation, especially as it defied his "no surprises" rule on set, he was overjoyed to be recognized for this accomplishment.
Over the years, Live has solidified its place in history with a wide range of over-the-top Guinness World Records attempts, and the 2018 edition of "Record Breaker Week" has been no exception.
