A team of Japanese youths have exemplified their rope-skipping capability once again by breaking the Guinness World Records title for Most skips over a single rope in one minute by a team.
Members of the E-Jump Fuji (Japan) in Fuji, Shizuoka, Japan, managed to jump over the spinning rope 230 times, five more than the previous record which was set by elementary school students in the same area.
The way 12 skippers swiftly hops through the fast-spinning rope like clockwork is simply mesmerising.
This attempt was made at a rope-skipping lesson. The E-Jump Fuji team consists of elementary school students in the Fuji city, some of which were team members of the previous record holder.
Naoyuki Nishizawa, chairman of the Fuji Municipal Rope Skipping Association, says fast-skipping in a figure-of-eight is E-Jump Fuji’s specialty.
