Frank Lampard: How I nearly never joined Chelsea - Video

Despite starting his career at London rivals West Ham, and joining title challengers Man City, Frank Lampard’s record-setting time in the Premier League will forever be associated with Chelsea.
 
It was with the west London club that Frank scored the bulk of his goals that would eventually earn him the record title for Most Premier League teams scored against.
 
 
However, in the second instalment of our exclusive chat with the midfield goal machine, the 37-year-old reveals that things could have been very different, admitting that he came very close to joining two other Premier League teams before eventually signing for the Blues in 2001.
 
Now plying his trade in the US for New York City FC in the MLS, in the video below Frank also recalls getting on the score sheet for the first time in the Premier League, his favourite ever goals and his thoughts on how the game has changed since he first turned pro.
