He may have now left the Premier League to play in the US with New York City FC, but Frank Lampard has certainly left a record-breaking mark on the EPL.

The former West Ham, and Manchester City star appears in the new Guinness World Records 2016 book after taking the title for the Most Premier League Teams Scored Against.

Frank incredibly scored against 39 clubs of 46 to ever feature in the league and, ironically, his 39th victim was former club Chelsea in a 1-1 draw while playing for Man City last season.

“It was a weird feeling when I scored,” he recalls. “But it did get me the record so I am also very happy with the goal!”

On making it into the book, he says: “I set goals throughout my career to break records and this is one I never imagined to get. I am a big fan of the books and always read the books with my daughters before bed so to feature in it is amazing”

In our exclusive video interview below, Frank is tasked with naming all 39 clubs which makes for tough work and speaks of his idol Paul Gascoigne, mentor Gianfranco Zola, his hand in goal-line technology, the best goalkeeper he ever faced and much more.

Stay tuned to Guinnessworldrecords.com next week for part two of our chat with Frank, where amongst other things, he reveals how close he came to not joining Chelsea.

Frank and his incredible goal-scoring feat appears in Guinness World Records 2016 Edition which is out September 10. To find out more about the book and pre-order your copy, head to www.guinnessworldrecords.com/2016
