The fastest swim crossing of Kuwait Bay (male) is 9 hours and 44 mins and was achieved by Yousef Alshatti (Kuwait) in Kuwait on 2 February 2023.

Yousef Al Shatti is an officer in Special Forces of Kuwait Navy who attempted to swim freestyle, in open water without fins in winter time, from AlSabia to Kuwait Army Officers Club (Kuwait bay), to raise the awareness with the Kuwaiti National Day and the Kuwaiti Liberation Day.

Training took 3 months, in touch condition as the water's temperature was 12 degrees Celsius.

Yousef was escorted with Kuwait Naval Forces to secure the area of swimming from the start point to the end (including ambulance, divers, medical evacuation, ..etc if needed).

Yousef's record was extremely recognizable among his nation to the point that The Crown Prince of Kuwait met Yousef to congratulate him for his outstanding achievement.
