The first international cricketer to play 100 matches in all formats is Ross Taylor (New Zealand), playing for New Zealand between 1 March 2006 and 21 February 2020.


Ross Taylor made his international debut against the West Indies on 1 March 2006 in an ODI, from that point he made his T20 debut against Sri Lanka in Wellington on 22 December the same year. He then had to wait for his test match debut against South Africa on 8 November 2007, between his international debut and his 100th test match Taylor scored 40 centuries and 91 fifties across all international formats.
