The largest gathering of people wearing dragon robes consisted of 432 participants and was achieved by Henan Art Center, Opera Broadcasting at FM 976 of Radio Henan and The Cultural Center of Henan Opera Tingju Tang Pai Art (all China) in Zhengzhou, Henan, China, on 17 September 2016.
Participants were all disciples of Tangpai Yuju opera which is a style of opera originating from Henan province. The oldest participant was 80 years old and the youngest was only 7. The dragon robes were high quality hand-embroidered and the most expensive dragon robe cost RMB 30,000 (around GBP 3,400).
