The deepest dive under ice - breath held (fins and diving suit) by a female is 63.8 m (209 ft 3.81 in) and was achieved by Olga Markina (Russia), in listvyanka, Russia, on 19 March 2021.

Olga has been freediving for 5 years and dives usually in very warm water. However she decided to try diving under ice.

Olga has always had an affinity to water ever since she can remember. She learnt about freediving when she was 19 years old; from then, the rest is history.

In order to train, Olga would swim in open water and in Lake Baikal (the deepest lake in the world!), as well as taking cold showers.
