The fastest 10 km carrying 100 lb pack (female) is 1 hr 26 min 49 sec, achieved by Erin Grindstaff (USA) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on 27 February 2022.
Erin has always dreamed of achieving a Guinness World Records title. She used to read the GWR book as a child and still enjoys watching record-breaking content on the Guinness World Records YouTube channel. Upon discovering this record, she realised with her background as an Air Force veteran and experience in endurance events – including rucking – it would be a perfect record to try for.
“As someone who is not a professional or naturally gifted athlete, I have always had to work extremely hard and dedicate myself completely to achieve my fitness and personal goals. I wanted to set this Guinness World Records title to show normal, everyday people that you do not have to be an elite or full-time athlete to do something physically extraordinary. With hard work, a solid plan, and true unwavering commitment, anything is possible.”
