Could you eat the largest veggie burger EVER?

MrBeast knows everything about large numbers and Internet crowds: he is the creator with most subscribers for an individual male on YouTube and the first person to reach 1 million followers on Threads.
But the creator and his team also worked relentlessly to create another giant: the largest vegetarian burger in the world.

Hailing from North Carolina, Jimmy Donaldson, known with his Internet pseud "MrBeast," has risen to prominence thanks to his YouTube channel.

His viral acts of philanthropy and jaw-dropping stunts have captured the attention of the Internet crowds, making the young entrepreneur one of the most successful digital personalities of the decade.

As the mastermind behind several viral trends, MrBeast's signature tone of voice features a blend of engaging content and record-breaking achievements.

That is the case of the largest veggie burger EVER, created for his chain MrBeast Burger: a service relying primarily on deliveries which started in 2020 as a successful 'free restaurant' pop-up event.

In 2022, food producer Finnebrogue Artisan took up the challenge to satisfy the vegan masses on occasion of Veganuary 2022, breaking the record for the largest vegan burger.

Before that, in 2022, MrBeast officially broke the record for the most subscribers for an individual male on YouTube with his channel MrBeast, taking over PewDiePie's record with an unbelievable 112,193,139 subs.

Despite his record-breaking aspirations, his YouTube channel is famous for the generous giveaways: whether it's planting millions of trees to combat deforestation or presenting life-changing gifts to people in need, MrBeast has often used his influential platform to do good.

He also frequently organizes charitable giveaways and donations through his charity Beast Philanthropy, with a dedicated YouTube channel that counts over 16 million subscribers.

His innovative content amasses billions of views across platforms, and the young creator is also the first person to receive a million subscribers on Threads, Meta’s app that directly challenges Twitter (now re-branded to X).

In June 2023, the YouTube star also announced that he aimed to break another world record, aiming to give away the greatest prize money won on a TV game show.

Not new to offering incredible prizes to his subscribers, the 28-year-old YouTuber plans to challenge the current record, which stands at a whopping ƒ10,000,000 Dutch guilders (a currency used in the Netherlands before the Euros).

In 2001, when the prize was won, it equalled the jaw-dropping sum of €4,537,800, which was approximately £2,847,470 or $4,155,719 if adjusted to today's inflation rates.

In turn, MrBeast envisions creating a game show and will award the record-breaking prize to the winner:

“I want to test what I do on YouTube on a streaming service for fun to see how it performs," he wrote on his Twitter account. "Imagine a 10 episode series with 10,000 people competing for the largest prize in game show history."

But MrBeast’s record-breaking feats are not limited to acts of kindness and incredible prizes: he has also taken on colossal challenges that push the boundaries of what's possible, leaving viewers both amazed and amused.

That’s the case of his 2022 giant vegetarian burger: a mouth-watering, out-of-scale vegetarian burger that, weighing the incredible amount of 2,092.4 kg (4,612lb 15.24oz), became the largest vegetarian burger in the world ever.

The mammoth burger counts an incredible 1,900 lb (861 kg) of soy-based patty, and broke the record in Greenville, North Carolina, USA, on 29 September 2022.

The top brioche bun alone weighs an incredible 545 lb (247 kg), more or less the weight of a vending machine, or of a male adult Grizzly Bear.

Some of the numbers for this one-in-a-lifetime burger:

  • The burger measured 0.87 m (2 ft 10.25 in) tall with a diameter of 2.134 m (7 ft)
  • It took approximately 43 people to prepare the 2-tonne burger
  • Ingredients included two patties, for a total of 900-lb (861.3-kg)
  • 200 lb (90.7 kg) onions
  • 200 lb (90.7 kg) lettuce
  • 200 lb (90.7 kg) cheese

Hungry for more record-breaking food?

TikTok chefs Nick DiGiovanni (USA) and Lynn Davis (JPN) teamed up in April 2023 to smash the charts with another mammoth culinary creation.

Their viral challenge took place at the Oakleaf Cakes Bake Shop in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, where the pair created a jaw-dropping giant doughnut cake weighing 102.5 kg (226 lb): aka the largest doughnut cake in the world.

The doughnut was constructed from layers of sponge and buttercream, and wrapped in fondant.

The pink-iced, sprinkle-covered confection weighed more than the two chefs combined.

Not new to creative records, the two influencers had previously joined forces to produce the largest chicken nugget, a fan-favourite savory treat that reached a total weights of of 20.96 kg (46 lb 3 oz): the equivalent of two car tires.

DiGiovanni and Davis are also the masterminds behind the hot pink, delicious largest cake pop in the world. The majestic sweet treat measured 44.24 kg (97 lb 8 oz), featuring (among many other ingredients) 10 bags of powdered sugar and an astounding 32 boxes of cake mix.

"We took it to friends and family, medical aids, and a sports team! We also saved some in our freezer for snacking throughout the holiday season. None is going to waste at all." - Nick DiGiovanni

 Largest bubble gum

How big do you think a bubble gum can get?

On 24 Apr 2004, at Double Springs High School (which has now been renamed Winston County High School) in Alabama, USA, Chad Fell blew the largest bubblegum bubble blown ever. The messy (but certainly satisfying!) record featured a record-breaking bubblegum with a diameter of 1 ft 8 in (50.8 cm).

It combined three pieces of Dubble Bubble gum and, as dictated by the guidelines, Chad blew the record-breaking pink bubble without using his hands.

But giant food is not all about buttercream, cake pops and pink bubble gums.

A chocolate brownie weighing 152 kg (335 (b) - about the same as a mountain gorilla - was served up by Betty Crocker MENA in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 23 Sep 2022.

A total of 210 regular packs of brownie mix were combined with 504 eggs and 23.1 litres (6.1 gal) of oil before being baked for three hours, thus creating the largest chocolate brownie in the world.

The giant, super-colourful donkey-shaped piñata

Everybody loves piñatas!

The bigger the piñata, the better. And that’s especially true for the case for the largest piñata that was ever created: a jaw-dropping, six-storey piñata filled with around 8,000 lb (3,600 kg) of candy. The giant donkey-shaped structure had to be opened on the ground due to safety reasons and was unveiled by Carnival Cruises in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 2 Nov 2008. It stood at a spectacular 18.85-m-tall (61-ft and 10.25-in).

Despite it's mammoth size, though, that’s not the largest standing piñata overall.

The M&M’s XXL-sized celebrational confectionery measured 20.9 m (68 ft 7 in) at its widest point, and it was created to celebrate the first birthday of the brand's salty-and-sweet snack, the Pretzel Chocolate Candies.

The red M&M's prodigious statue was opened by singer Cee Lo Green in New York, USA, on 4 Aug 2011 and it contained 1,500 lb (680 kg) of chocolate.

Incredibly, the largest suspended piñata ever reached an ever wider diameter. The 32-m-wide (105-ft) piñata was filled with 800 kg (1,760 lb) of sweet treats, chocolates and toys.

It was hung from a crane by Vision Lightec (MEX) in the Plaza de Los Mártires in Toluca, Mexico, on 16 Dec 2015, and we are sure that it made plenty of children (and adults) happy.
