On 15 April 2012, Eleanor Worthington-Cox (UK) became the youngest person to win a Laurence Olivier Award for her performance as Matilda in Matilda the Musical, aged ten. She is the youngest of four girls who shared the part and are all younger than any previous Laurence Olivier award winner. The other actresses were Cleo Demetriou, ten (just a few weeks older than Eleanor), Kerry Ingram, 12, and Sophia Kiely, 12.
