Most Summer Paralympic gold medals won

The most gold medals won by an individual at the Summer Paralympic Games is 41, by Trischa Zorn (USA) in swimming events between 1980 and 2004. Zorn competed at seven successive Paralympic Games (1980-2004) and won her gold medals as follows: Arnhem 1980 (7 gold); New York 1984 (10 gold); Seoul 1988 (12 gold); Barcelona 1992 (10 gold); Atlanta 1996 (2 gold). Zorn won her 41 gold medals in 13 different swimming events: 100 m backstroke, 100 m butterfly, 100 m freestyle, 200 m individual medley, 400 m individual medley, 4 x 100 m freestyle relay, 4 x 100 m medley relay, 50 m breaststroke, 50 m freestyle, 100 m breaststroke, 200 m breaststroke, 400 m freestyle, 200 m backstroke. Zorn, who has been blind from birth, was inducted into the International Paralympian Hall of Fame in 2012.
