On 4 July 2014, conjoined twins Ronnie and Donnie Galyon of Dayton, Ohio, USA (b. 25 October 1951) turned 62 years 252 days old, surpassing their heroes Chang and Eng Bunker from USA (b. Siam, 11 May 1911, d. 17 January 1874), the world-famous conjoined twins, who lived to be 62 years 251 days old. When Ronnie and Donnie turned 63 on 25 October 2014, they then matched, or even surpassed, the then-recognized oldest conjoined twins ever, Giacomo and Giovanni Battista Tocci (Italy, c. 1877–1940), who were widely reported to have lived for 63 years. Ronnie and Donnie sadly passed away as a result of heart failure on 4 July 2020; they were aged 68 years 253 days.

The oldest living conjoined twins are Lori Lynn and George (b. Dori) Schappell (b. 18 September 1961) of Reading, Pennsylvania, USA, craniopagus twins who were aged 62 years 30 days as of 18 October 2023.
