The oldest international rugby union player is Colin Stanley (Saudi Arabia, b. UK 23 January 1959), who played for Saudi Arabia vs Jordan, at the age of 58 years 116 days, on 15 September 2017.

Colin played the majority of the match at tight head prop, helping Saudi Arabia to a 58-10 victory - their first ever international victory. The fixture was hosted at Petra University, Amman, Jordan.

Though not an official World Rugby fixture, the friendly match was sanctioned by the Saudi Arabian and Jordan rugby federations. Colin qualified through 36-month residency rules and had previously played rugby in Saudi Arabia for Al Khobar.
