Oldest exoplanet

The oldest planet yet discovered in our galaxy is an extrasolar planet in the globular cluster M4, some 5,600 light years from Earth. With an age estimated at at least 10 billion years, this distant planet is more than twice as old as the Solar System. Its discovery was announced in July 2003.
