The world's oldest dove is Methuselah, a white, male collared dove who was born in April 1975 and last examined in October 2004, aged 29 years 6 months.
Methuselah's ankle ring shows date. The vet confirmed the age on 9 December 2003 and as of October 2004 the bird was still alive. He is owned by Manfred Meller of Harxheim, Germany.
